Hilldale School serves families in the San Francisco, Daly City, and Northern Peninsula areas. We welcome families who reflect the diversity of the Bay Area and who desire a challenging academic environment for bright and gifted children, where students may excel from individualized attention and positive affirmation that only a small school can provide.

Interested families are encouraged to visit Hilldale School to observe and experience all that Hilldale has to offer. Personal tours are offered by appointment. Please contact the school office at (650) 756-4737 for available times.

Acceptance Procedures

Enrollment is accepted year-round as long as space is available. Admissions decisions for the following school year are made beginning in January, with preference given to early applicants and siblings.

Hilldale School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender, or national or ethnic origin. All students are welcome and encouraged to apply.

2012-13 Tuition and Fees

Regular yearly tuition for the 2012-13 school year in grades K-8 is $13,900. This is an all-inclusive fee covering book fees, the field trips (except for extended overnight field trips), and extended care before and after school for those parents who need child care while they work. Parents may drop off as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick up as late at 6:00 p.m. for no additional fee. Regular school hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Pre-Kindergarten tuition is a monthly fee of $815 for the regular academic instruction. Before care and after care is available for an additional cost. Parents may drop off as early as 7:30 a.m. (for an additional $125 per month) and pick up as late at 6:00 p.m. (for an additional $200 per month).

Families having two or more children enrolled in any Pinnacle School including Hilldale School, Early Learning Academy, and Harwood Hills Country School may receive a 5% discount for the younger sibling. The oldest sibling is charged the full tuition.

Financial aid is available for qualified families: children will not be disqualified due to the lack of ability to pay the tuition, although acceptance into lower-grade classes will be based on available spaces.  These families will be expected to serve the school in ways that might best fit their expertise at least one hour for every $150 they receive. They are also expected to apply for available state and private aid, such as the California Basic Fund, to help subsidize their children's education. More details are available in the school office.

It is expected that students supply certain general items needed for their schooling. These "First Day Supplies" can be viewed from our School News webpage.

Please contact the Hilldale School office (650-756-4737) to request forms and further information.
