Born in Hawaii, Casey Dyson first whetted his appetite for teaching while obtaining a B.A. in Sociology with a Spanish minor at the University of San Diego.  During his four years at USD, Mr. Dyson traveled to Ghana, Africa to teach Third Grade English, Math, and Science for a summer before working the following year as a volunteer teacher in a Juvenile Hall.  Upon graduating Cum Laude, Mr. Dyson spent a year teaching English in South Korea.  After another summer of teaching, this time in Chengdu, China, he began studies that culminated in obtaining an M.A. in Cultural Studies from Claremont Graduate University.  Mr. Dyson previously taught Third and Fourth Grade at Hilldale.  Between stints at Hilldale, he taught Middle School Humanities in Los Angeles, the same level he currently teaches at Hilldale.  He supplements teaching with activities that include writing, surfing, golfing, playing basketball and duplicate bridge.

Work Return

Hello folks,

Yesterday a number of quizzes and tests were returned. Everyone put them in their homework folders and were reminded to return the papers to their parents. Today, however, it seems that many students still have the papers in their homework folders. Thus, I am sending this as a reminder to ask for returned quizzes and tests this afternoon if you want to see some recent work from your child.

Thank you,

Mr. Dyson

Thank you!

I want to send a quick thank you to the 3rd grade families for the Friday snacks. Everyone I spoke with enjoyed the treats and we certainly feel appreciated, so, once again,

THANK YOU!!!
