Mrs. Valladares attended San Francisco State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in School Age Children and Families. She went on to Brandman University, working toward her Single Subject Credential in English.

Teaching has been her passion since she was in the Fifth Grade and was asked to read stories to the Special Needs class. She has worked with and taught children from as young as toddlers all the way through high school seniors. She believes that education is an ever evolving field, such that to remain effective it is important to keep children engaged, challenged, intrigued, and using their minds as critically as possible. She ensures the classroom is an environment in which students can thrive and succeed in becoming independent, lifelong learners. As a teacher, she feels that it is vital to ensure that she is not only teaching to the mind of the student by building upon their existing skills, but she is helping them develop into a whole person, physically, socially, and emotionally. When she is not teaching and lesson planning, she enjoys the company of her husband, their baby, and their little yorkie.
