The extended care program operates daily before school from 7:30 to 8:25 a.m. and after school from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. This program is provided by the owners/administration to benefit and support working parents and to help with homework completion. It is provided free of charge as a service to our families. Parents may use this program depending upon their needs. Before school care consists of outdoor recess. After school care includes a recess and snack time right after school, a mandatory Homework Club time during which students must either do homework or read quietly, and special workshops for those who have signed up (including cooking, art club, Legoz!, voice club, chess, tennis, basketball, hiking, guitar & piano, and more!). These workshops are taught by teachers and outside specialists, affording additional opportunities for students to develop interests and skills with the convenience of onsite enrichment and supervision. Some classes have little or no fee; others are billed directly from offsite specialists.

Students should bring a reading book for those times when they finish homework before homework time is over. Parents must sign children in and out each day. Signatures are our way of tracking student attendance, and during extended care this is our only measure to ensure student attendance in an emergency.
