Parents are invited to Back to School Night. The purpose of this event is to offer teachers an opportunity to introduce themselves and present an overview of the class curriculum. They are available to discuss academic goals, offer a display of the educational materials to be used, review expectations and the grading scale, as well as introduce procedures to be used in the coming year.

Parents are encouraged to attend, so that they can help support the teacher in giving the children a solid academic program during the year. After an initial welcome, parents will attend two informational sessions that will last for approximately 25 minutes each. In the middle school, parents will meet with the Science/Math teacher and the English/Social Studies teacher separately.

Please note that child care is sponsored by the Family Association for this event. In addition, Back-to-School Night is not intended to accommodate in-depth discussions of individual students. Parents are welcome to discuss concerns during Parent-Teacher Conferences, which are held after the first grading period, or they may schedule a special appointment as needed at any time.
