Students are encouraged to invite their grandparents to attend this special event in their honor. If a student does not have an available grandparent, he or she can invite one other older relative (non-parent) to the event. However, most kids will not have a relative at the event, and those kids will have extra recess.

The K-8th Grade event begins at 1:30 p.m.; the Pre-Kindergarten event will be from 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Tea and cookies will be provided for all, and Grandparents will be invited to view an assembly as well as receive a tour from their grandchild.

1:45 PM      Tea & Cookies for Grandparents & kids; recess for others

2:00 PM      Cookies for other kids & Tours for Grandparents

2:15 PM      Geography Bee Final and Championship Rounds are held

3:15 PM       Extra Recess

3:00 PM      Pre-K Grandparents' Day celebration

Geography Bee - Students will test their knowledge of national and international geography in the National Geographic Bee event.  This is a FULL DRESS day for Grades K-8. Parents are welcome, but not required to attend this in-school event.
