A San Francisco native, Ms. Spagat attended University High School before moving cross country to receive her B.A. in philosophy and creative writing at Bryn Mawr College, where she graduated magna cum laude. She returned to the San Francisco afterwards and rapidly fell in love with teaching while working as a tutor. She quickly decided she wanted a classroom of her own, and she began the journey by working as a substitute throughout the Bay Area. She has now settled in as the Hilldale Fifth Grade teacher and is thrilled to become a part of the Hilldale family! In her spare time, Ms. Spagat enjoys writing novels, volunteering at animal shelters, and reading.
