Assignment

Bring a significant news event that you have read and summarized for me. I expect well thought out and detailed summaries. The article you select should be at least 2-3 pages in length so that there is enough to talk about in your summary and critical thinking points.

Once you have written the summary I want you to select two (relevant to your event) questions to answer that hopefully stimulate your critical thinking or analytic skills.

- What events led up to this event, or set of circumstances enabled this event to occur?

- If you were a decision maker what would you have done differently, do differently in the future, or how would you have reacted in this situation?

- What are the potential long-term consequences (pros and cons) of this event?

- How will this event affect people now and in the future?

- What did you find interesting, fascinating, or surprising about this event?

- What do you think about how this event was managed?

- What have you learned from this article?

I am going to keep adding more as I think of them :)
