La Rana
We will not sing about the "hombre" or the "abelula" --- our lyrics will be different for this part. We will sing about the "maestra." The kids will learn this in class --- just wanted you to know that our words are different so the kids don't get confused by the video.
Also the singer has a Spanish accent (Castellano) -- if the kids copy it, that is fine but does not matter. His diction is very clear -- so that's why I chose this one as our example.

How many lines do we need to write music?
How many spaces?
What do we call the five lines and four spaces?
Do you have a handy "hand staff" with you at all times?
Do all notes have heads?
Can you make your head be a line note?
Can you make your head be a space note?
On your "handy hand staff," can you show the lines and spaces for Whacky Do Re Mi? (We did this in class).

Sing the famous song from Sound of Music and learn the note hand signs.
Please have your student sing the lyrics, watch the videos, clap and say the chants on at least four different days. Everyone in this group has a great memory -- and they memorize very quickly -- so this should be fun and easy at home.
