On Wednesday, October 17th, the Kindergarten students will be attending a field trip to Ardenwood Historic Farm. The students will enjoy this fun trip where they will experience turn of the century farm life and seasonal hands-on activities with an emphasis on where food comes from including planting, tending, harvesting, or processing crops! This online permission slip is due by the end of the day on Monday, October 1st.
Students will be traveling by car to Ardenwood Historic Farm, located at 34600 Ardenwood Blvd. in Fremont. Students and chaperones will leave Hilldale at 8:30 a.m. and will return at 2:15 p.m. Please arrive to school at 8:15 a.m. and leave boosters in the cubby room.
Students should wear play clothes and sturdy shoes that can get dirty or wet. No sandals. The weather can be variable so please have them dress in layers. Be sure students have jackets if necessary and that they come prepared for the weather if rain is in the forecast. All students and adult leaders should wear visible name tags.
Students should bring a no waste lunch, two no waste snacks, extra snacks for when we return to school and a non-disposable water bottle.
Chaperone tickets are $3 each. Please pay in advance by check. Please do so by delivering the check for $3 to Ms. Speregen by October 1st. Checks should be made out to Hilldale School. There is no parking fee but all drivers should bring $4-6 cash for the bridge.
Chaperones will need to be prepared to add booster seats into their cars to accommodate other students. Parents who are not driving, it is imperative that you leave your child's booster seat at school. Otherwise, your child will not be able to attend. Thank you!
