Celebrate Reading Week is our annual celebration of one of our favorite pastimes here at Hilldale. Reading gives us more than information and entertainment; it expands our curiosity and develops our imagination.
Throughout the week we will have different activities and dress up days to celebrate books, characters, and genres. See the calendar for specifics.
Additionally, this year, we will not hold a traditional book fair as we prepare for our construction. When construction is finished, we will celebrate with a blowout book fair in our new media center! Until then, we encourage you to purchase books from teachers' wishlists if you'd like. Visit smiles.amazon.com to support the school two ways - 1) purchase books from the teachers' wishlist, 2) part of the proceeds support the Family Association.
This year, we will hold a BOOK SWAP all week! Bring a used book and take a used book.
