Books and Supplies
The school provides textbooks on a loan basis for all students and issues these to each student at the beginning of the year. This enables us to keep up with the best and most innovative teaching materials for each subject. Students are expected to write their first and last names inside each book, to take good care of them, and to return them with minimal wear and tear. Textbooks which are lost or damaged as a result of student carelessness must be replaced at the parents’ expense. Bills will be sent home during the days of school and are to be paid in full before the end of school.
The school supplies various items for certain projects in all grades, including journals in Kindergarten and First Grade. The school also supplies a Hilldale agenda for students in Grades 2-8. However, most general student supplies are to be supplied by the student as requested by the teachers before the beginning of the year. Parents should check their child’s agenda each night for assignments, notes, needed parent signatures, etc.
Students in grades K–4 are required to purchase school supplies from FirstDaySchoolSupplies.com. This ensures uniformity, allowing us to use these supplies in a community-style. Fifth – Eighth Grade students can choose to purchase identical supplies through the company or on their own.
